This page covers features gated by Admin-tier permissions — typically Settings access. Admins have these by default; your administrator can adjust who has them in Settings > Team.
Before you start
Terminals come from your card payment provider, so connect that first. With Dojo connected and switched on, a Sync from Dojo button appears next to Register Terminal and the terminals on your Dojo account can be pulled in with one click. Without it, the page still lets you register a terminal by hand, but nothing can send a payment to it.Registering a terminal
Click Register Terminal and fill in the screen that opens.
Click Register terminal and the row appears in the list.
Pair a terminal to a till wherever a counter has its own machine. When a cashier takes a card payment on that till, the amount goes straight to the paired terminal. Leave a terminal unpaired and the cashier picks it from the list at payment time.
A terminal’s location can’t change once it has taken a payment. To move it to another shop, deprovision it and register the device again against the new location.
Syncing terminals from Dojo
Click Sync from Dojo to pull in the terminals on your Dojo account. Any terminal that isn’t in your list yet is registered against your first location, set to Active and left unpaired, with a label made from its terminal ID. Open it with Edit to give it a better label and pair it to a till. Each row’s Status column carries two badges: the status you set, and what Dojo last reported for that terminal. Sync again to refresh the second badge and the Last seen time. A terminal that has dropped off your Dojo account shows Missing rather than disappearing, so you can see it has gone.Removing a terminal
Click Deprovision on the row and confirm. Cashiers can’t send payments to that terminal any more, and it leaves the list. To take a terminal out of use for a while without removing it, open it with Edit and set Status to Inactive instead.Common questions
