Calendar views

You can look at your calendar in two different ways, depending on what you need:
  • Month view — See the full picture for the month ahead. Great for spotting busy weekends or quiet patches at a glance.
  • Day view — Zoom in on a single day to see every booking and consultation lined up in order.
Switch between views using the buttons at the top of the calendar. Pick whichever one suits how you like to work.

Colour coding by event type

Every event type has its own colour on the calendar, so you can tell them apart without reading a single word:
  • Weddings stand out in one colour
  • Funerals appear in another
  • Corporate events have their own shade
  • Custom event types you’ve created each get a unique colour too
This means you can glance at any week and immediately see your mix of work — how many weddings you have coming up, whether there’s a funeral to prepare for, or if a corporate job lands on the same day as something else.
Colour coding helps you see your mix of events at a glance. If you notice one colour taking over your calendar, it might be time to adjust your marketing or capacity for other event types.

Clicking a date

Click on any date to see what’s already booked for that day. This is the quickest way to check your availability when a customer calls and asks, “Are you free on the 15th of August?” You’ll see a summary of every event on that date, so you can decide straight away whether you have room for another booking.

Clicking an event

Click on any event on the calendar to jump straight to its full details page. From there you can review the brief, check the status, update notes, or do anything else you need — without searching through menus or lists.

Filtering your calendar

When your calendar gets busy, filters help you cut through the noise and show only what matters right now. You can filter by:

Event type

Show only the event types you want to see:
  • Weddings — Focus on your upcoming wedding work
  • Funerals — See only funeral bookings
  • Corporate — View corporate events on their own
  • Any custom event types you’ve set up
This is useful when you want to count how many of a certain type you have in a month, or when you’re planning stock and prep for a specific kind of event.

Status

Narrow things down by where events are in their journey:
  • Draft — Events you’re still putting together
  • Quote Sent — Proposals that are with the client
  • Quote Accepted — Confirmed events that are locked in
  • Completed — Past events that are done and dusted
  • Other statuses like Follow Up, Order Finalisation, etc.
For example, you might filter to show only Draft events so you can follow up on enquiries that haven’t been confirmed yet.

Checking availability for new bookings

The calendar is the fastest way to answer the question every florist hears: “Are you available on this date?” Open the calendar, click the date, and you’ll see exactly what’s already booked. You can then decide whether you have the capacity to take on another event that day — or suggest a nearby date that’s less busy.
Check the calendar at the start of each week to see what events are coming up. This gives you time to prepare samples, order stock, confirm details with clients, and adjust your staffing before the week gets busy.

Common questions

Yes. You can change the event date from the event details page, and the calendar updates automatically. You don’t need to delete and re-create anything.
No. The event calendar only shows events. Your daily orders and deliveries live on the Dashboard.
The calendar shows one view at a time — month or day. To look further ahead, use the arrows to move forward through the months.
Each event type (Wedding, Funeral, Corporate, and any custom types you’ve created) has its own colour. This lets you see at a glance what kind of work is booked on any given day.
