Connect in Settings is where you set up printing through Digital Florists Connect, the desktop app that prints your receipts and labels, opens the cash drawer and, in the UK, brings in Interflora and eFlorist orders.
This page covers features gated by Admin-tier permissions — typically Settings access. Admins have these by default; your administrator can adjust who has them in Settings > Team.
Go to Settings > Connect. Open it on the computer you want to check, because the top of the page is about the computer you’re using.

Checking this computer

The strip at the top of the page says whether Connect is ready to print on this computer. When it is, it names this computer’s till, receipt printer and label printer, and whether the cash drawer is on. Use Print a Test to print a test receipt or label, or to open the drawer. When something needs doing, the strip says what: Connect isn’t running, it’s paired with another shop, its setup isn’t finished, or a printer needs choosing again in Connect. Put it right, then click Check Again. While your shop is still being set up, the strip shows four steps instead: Install Connect, Pair with Your Shop, Choose Your Printers and Print a Test. Setting up takes about ten minutes. See Connect for installing it on a Mac or Windows computer.

What prints where

What Prints Where lists each kind of printing and whether it goes through Connect or opens in the browser.

Receipts on each till

Each till is listed with two switches. With more than three tills the list folds away, so click Show All beside Till receipts to open it.
  • Receipts through Connect prints that till’s receipts through Connect on the till’s computer, and opens its cash drawer after a cash sale. Switched off, receipts open in the browser.
  • Print after payment prints every paid sale straight away. Switch it off and staff choose to print each receipt.
The till on the computer you’re using is marked This computer, and a till that prints through Connect shows when Connect was last seen from it. Click Options on a till to change its Connect port, which only matters if Connect on that computer was set to another port, or its Receipt character set, where cp858 prints the euro sign. Add, rename or remove tills in Devices.

Pairing Connect with your shop

Your shop has one pairing, and every computer that runs Connect uses it. The first time, click Create Pairing. Then, on each computer:
  • click Pair This Computer, and Connect opens and asks you to confirm your shop, or
  • click Copy Pairing Code and paste the code into Connect as its access token.
Under Guides and download you’ll find Download Connect and the setup guides for a Mac or Windows computer.
Replace Pairing stops the current pairing working straight away. Any computer that brings in Interflora or eFlorist orders stops sending them until you pair it again from this page. Printing carries on as normal.

Common questions

Check that Receipts through Connect is switched on for that till under What Prints Where, and that Connect is running on the till’s computer. Open this page on that computer and the strip at the top says whether it’s ready to print.
Switch on Straight to the label printer for the shop under Delivery labels, and check Connect is running with a label printer chosen. See Label printers.
Yes, each computer that runs Connect needs pairing once. They all use your shop’s one pairing, so you don’t create a new one for each computer.
