Disaster Recovery is the safety net for serious incidents — a bulk import that went wrong, a settings change that broke something, an accidental mass-delete. Rather than fixing each affected record by hand, you can roll your shop back to how it looked at a specific moment.
This page covers features gated by Admin-tier permissions — typically Settings access. Admins have these by default; your administrator can adjust who has them in Settings > Team.
This is a heavy hammer. Restoring rolls back every change made since the restore point — orders, customers, products, settings, the lot. If a single record needs fixing, the audit log + manual edit is almost always the better path. Use Disaster Recovery when the alternative is hours of clean-up.

Picking a restore point

The page shows recent automatic snapshots plus a custom date range picker for older points. For each snapshot you’ll see:
  • Snapshot timestamp — when the snapshot was taken.
  • Records included — the totals (orders, customers, products) at that point.
  • Notes — any tag we added, like “before bulk import” or “before plan change”.
Pick a snapshot, review the comparison view, and confirm. Restoring takes a few minutes; the shop is read-only while it runs.

Before you restore

  • Tell your team to stop creating orders for the next 10–15 minutes.
  • Note any orders placed since the restore point — they will be removed and need re-entering.
  • Export anything you want to keep separately (recent reports, statements). Restore is destructive within the rollback window.

Common questions

Snapshots are kept for the retention window on your plan. The Custom Date Range picker shows the earliest available point.
Restore only changes Digital Florists data. Stripe charges, accounting-system entries, and emails already sent stay where they are. You may need to reconcile the difference manually.
Yes. Pick a snapshot and click Compare to see what would change before you commit. Nothing is restored until you click Restore on the next screen.
Contact hello@digitalflorists.com immediately. We keep a pre-restore snapshot for 7 days specifically for this case.

Audit logs

See exactly what changed, who changed it, and when — usually the better path than a full restore.

Exports

Keep your own off-system copy of your data.
