This page covers features gated by Manager-tier permissions. Managers and Admins have these by default; your administrator can adjust who has them in Settings > Team.
Adding a venue
Go to Events > Venues and add a new venue. Each venue has two fields:- Venue name — what you call the place (“The Old Barn at Greenmount”).
- Address — full delivery address including postcode.
Using a venue on an event
When you create or edit an event, the Venues section lets you search your saved venues by name or address. Pick one and the venue name and address fill in automatically. You can also type any name into the search field to create a one-off venue for that event — useful for a bride’s home, a private garden, or anywhere you’re unlikely to work again. One-off venues are stored on the event only; they don’t add to your saved venues list. If you want to save a one-off venue for future use, add it to Events > Venues separately. There’s no shortcut from the event create form.Editing or removing a venue
Edit a venue any time from Events > Venues. Changes apply to future events that link to the venue. Events created before the change keep the venue name and address as they were at the time, so historical quotations and proposals stay accurate. Deleting a venue unlinks it from past events but leaves the venue name and address on each event record intact.Common questions
Can I store contacts, parking notes, or photos on a venue?
Can I store contacts, parking notes, or photos on a venue?
Not on the venue record itself. Venues only hold a name and an address. For one-off details like “the entrance is around the back” or “ring the bell at the side door”, use the event’s notes and attachments. For proposal photography of a venue, upload images directly to the Venue section in the proposal designer.
Can I link a venue to a corporate customer?
Can I link a venue to a corporate customer?
Not directly. Venues and customers are separate. Both attach to events, so it’s the events themselves that connect a customer to the venues you’ve worked at for them.
Can an event have more than one venue?
Can an event have more than one venue?
Yes. Add a venue, then click Add venue to add another — useful when a wedding ceremony is at a church and the reception is at a different location.
