Connect keeps almost everything it needs auto-detected, but the settings panel is where you tweak the bits you care about — printers, your shop’s logo, relay polling, and how Connect behaves on this computer. This page walks through every tab in plain language, with the buttons you’ll actually click and the defaults that matter.

Opening the settings panel

Connect runs in the background, so you won’t always see its window. Open the panel like this:
PlatformHow to open
WindowsRight-click the Connect icon in the system tray and choose Settings, or open the main window and click the gear icon.
macOSClick the Connect icon in the menu bar and choose Settings, or bring the main window forward and click the gear icon.
The panel has a left-hand menu with six sections: Login, Printers, Relay Settings, Advanced Settings, Application Logs, and About. Each section is covered below.

The connection between Connect and your Digital Florists shop. This tab is marked Required — without it, Connect can’t talk to your shop.
SettingWhat it doesDefault
Access TokenA single code that links Connect to your shop. Paste it in and Connect tests the connection for you.None — you paste it in once
To find your token, open Digital Florists in your browser and go to Settings > Integrations > Connect. Connect masks the token in the panel once it’s saved, and shows a green confirmation if the test succeeds.
If you ever need to point Connect at a different shop, paste a new token over the old one and save — it overwrites the previous connection.

Printers

Everything about your receipt and label printers, plus the cash drawer status. Most of this is set during the setup wizard (Mac or Windows) — this tab is where you adjust or troubleshoot afterwards.

Receipt printer

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Print Test ReceiptSends a test receipt to your receipt printer.n/a
Open Cash DrawerFires the drawer kick on the receipt printer. Only shown when the cash drawer is enabled.n/a
Use Windows driver compatibility mode for Epson receiptsA fallback for Epson printers on Windows when test receipts aren’t coming out. Leave it off unless support asks you to switch it on.Off
Star receipt command setFor Star USB printers on Windows. If a test prints nothing, try switching from Automatic to ESC/POS or Star Line.Automatic

Label printer

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Print Test LabelSends a test delivery label to your label printer.n/a
Use landscape address labelsSwitches delivery labels to our classic landscape layout — your logo at the top, recipient details below, QR code on the right.Off
Include saved business logo on landscape labelsAdds your saved logo to the landscape layout. Only shown when landscape is on.On (when landscape is enabled)

Cash drawer

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Cash Drawer statusShows Enabled or Not in use. Set during the setup wizard — change it by re-running setup.Enabled if you confirmed your drawer opened during setup

Re-running setup

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Run Setup Wizard AgainRestarts the first-run wizard so you can swap printers or re-test the cash drawer.n/a
You don’t need to uninstall Connect to change printers. Running the wizard again is the quickest way to switch hardware or fix a printer that’s gone offline.
For supported hardware and connection types, see Printers.

Logo and receipt font

These two settings live at the bottom of the Printers tab, under Logo & receipt font. They affect printed output, not the on-screen UI.
SettingWhat it doesDefault
Select Logo ImageUploads an image to print at the top of receipts. The same logo is reused on the optional landscape address-label layout.None
Change Logo / RemoveSwap in a new logo, or clear it.n/a
Supported formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, WebP. Maximum size: 5 MB. Connect keeps its own copy of the logo, so you can move or delete the original afterwards. Only upload artwork you’re allowed to print.

Receipt font

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Receipt FontPicks the typeface used for the receipt body text. Grouped into Monospace, Sans-Serif, and Serif.Default (Printer Font)
Monospace fonts keep totals and columns aligned, so they’re the safest choice. On macOS, Connect will use a monospace font for PDF receipts regardless of this setting, to protect column alignment.

Relay Settings

Controls for the Interflora and eFlorist relay sync. The full overview lives on Relay — this tab is the on/off and timing controls.
Connect reads orders and delivery statuses from the relay portals. It doesn’t push anything back to Interflora or eFlorist — those still need to be updated in the portal itself when required.
SettingWhat it doesDefault
Enable relay automationsMaster on/off switch for relay polling. When off, Connect stops checking the portals altogether — no orders pulled, no status updates, no background activity. Your sign-in stays saved, so flipping it back on resumes polling without needing to sign in again. On
Check Interflora for delivery updatesWhen ticked, Connect polls the Florist Hub on the interval below for new orders and delivery status changes. Applies to Interflora only — eFlorist orders come through when you accept them in the portal, not on a schedule. On
Interflora polling interval (seconds)How often Connect checks the Florist Hub. Range: 30–3600 seconds. Only used when both the master switch and the Interflora check above are on.120 (2 minutes)
Clear Interflora Sign-In on This DeviceSigns you out of the Florist Hub on this computer and closes any open hub windows. You’ll need to sign in again.n/a
Clear eFlorist Sign-In on This DeviceSigns you out of the eFlorist portal on this computer and closes any open portal windows.n/a
The relay session is sticky — once you sign in to Interflora or eFlorist through the portal window, Connect keeps you signed in between restarts. Clearing the session is usually only needed when sign-in or hub pages aren’t behaving as expected.

Advanced Settings

The Advanced tab covers performance, network discovery, and config import/export. These settings are powerful — only change them if you know why.

Performance

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Enable Hardware AccelerationLets Connect use your computer’s graphics chip for smoother rendering. Recommended for most computers; only turn off if you see graphical glitches. Requires a restart. On
Launch at loginStarts Connect automatically when you log in to this computer. Keeps relay sync and printing always available. On
Start hidden on WindowsWindows only. Launches Connect minimised to the tray instead of opening the main window.Off
Keep Launch at login on — Connect is no use to your shop if it’s not running, and the relay portals can’t be checked while it’s closed.

Network Discovery

For the Digital Florists companion app on phones and tablets. When this is on, Connect advertises itself on your local Wi-Fi so the companion app can find this computer.
SettingWhat it doesDefault
Allow the Digital Florists companion app to discover this computerToggles local-network advertising. Applied immediately — no restart needed.Off
The card also shows the current Status (Discoverable / Not discoverable) and the computer’s Hostname.
On macOS, the first time you enable discovery the system will ask for Local Network access. The setting only controls automatic discovery — devices that already know this computer’s address may still reach it even with discovery off.

Export / Import Config

SettingWhat it doesDefault
Export ConfigSaves the full Connect configuration as a file. Useful for backups or moving to a new computer.n/a
Import ConfigLoads a previously exported config. Connect checks the file before saving it; a restart is recommended afterwards.n/a

Application Logs

A live view of what Connect has been doing. Useful for troubleshooting, and the first thing support will ask about.
SettingWhat it doesDefault
RefreshReloads the most recent log entries.n/a
View Full LogOpens the raw log file in your computer’s default text viewer.n/a
Clear LogsWipes the log file. Can’t be undone.n/a
Level filterFilters by All Levels, Errors Only, Warnings & Errors, or Info & Above. All Levels
Filter InterfloraShows only Interflora order activity.Off
SearchFree-text search across log messages — order numbers, error keywords, anything.Empty
For how to send logs to support and what to look for, see Sharing logs with support.

About

Information about this Connect installation, plus the update controls. Handy when support asks “what version are you on?” or “where’s the log file?”.

Version and updates

Connect updates itself in the background — usually you’ll never need to touch this. If you want to force a check or install a pending update straight away, the buttons are here.
SettingWhat it doesDefault
Check for UpdatesForces an immediate check for a new version.n/a
Restart to InstallAppears only when an update has finished downloading. Restarts Connect to apply it.n/a
The card also shows the Latest Version and Release Date when an update is detected. If a check fails, the error is shown inline. For more on how updates are delivered, see Staying up to date.

Installation details

The About card shows your Connect Version and Application Name by default. Click Show support details to reveal more — useful when support asks for diagnostic info:
FieldWhat it shows
VersionThe current Connect version. (Always visible.)
Application NameThe internal app name. (Always visible.)
App PathWhere Connect is installed on this computer.
Resources PathConnect’s bundled resources folder.
User Data PathWhere Connect stores its config, logs, and saved logo.
Electron / Chrome / NodeThe runtime versions Connect is built on.
PlatformYour operating system identifier.
BridgeThe native-bridge version and method count — internal but occasionally useful for support.

Common questions

Most settings apply immediately. Hardware Acceleration is the main exception — a yellow banner appears when a restart is needed, with a Restart now button.
The Login tab doesn’t have a sign-out button by design — Connect is paired to a single shop. To switch shops, paste a new access token over the old one.
Yes. Use Export Config on the source machine, install Connect on the new machine, then use Import Config. Re-run the printer setup wizard afterwards because printer hardware is specific to each computer.
Clearing the sign-in signs you out of the portal on this computer — you’ll need to sign back in. Disabling relay (the Enable relay automations toggle) stops Connect from checking the portals at all, but keeps your sign-in. Use the toggle for a temporary pause and clearing the session for sign-in trouble.
Because relay sync and receipt printing only work while Connect is running. Starting it with your computer is the simplest way to keep everything online without having to remember.
