The Areas Overview is a geographic view of where your orders are coming from. It rolls up orders by postcode area (or delivery zone) so you can spot which neighbourhoods you’re strong in, where you have growth opportunity, and where you might want to adjust your delivery slots or marketing.
This page covers features gated by Manager-tier permissions. Managers and Admins have these by default; your administrator can adjust who has them in Settings > Team.

What you’ll see

For each area in your catchment:
  • Order count — how many orders went to this area in the period.
  • Revenue — total spend from this area.
  • Average order value — useful for comparing areas of similar volume.
  • Delivery vs other fulfilment — split by fulfilment method.
The page also includes a map view where you can see your order density visually. Zoom in to a specific postcode area to drill into the orders for that pocket.

Filtering and exporting

  • Date range — defaults to the last 30 days; change to any period.
  • Order source — limit to website orders, phone orders, walk-ins, or all sources.
  • Exclude POS orders — useful if you want to see only delivery-fulfilment orders rather than till sales.
Click Export to download a CSV of the table data for analysis in Excel or your BI tool.

How orders are mapped to areas

Orders are bucketed by the delivery address postcode, falling back to the customer’s billing address if delivery isn’t set. Walk-in POS orders without a delivery address are grouped under “No address (POS)” by default — use the exclude-POS filter to remove them.

Common questions

Check the Order source filter — by default, POS orders without an address aren’t bucketed by area. Switch the filter to see all sources or change which sources are included.
Events aren’t included by default. Set the Order types filter to include events alongside orders if you want a full geographic picture.
The default is postcode area (the first half — e.g., SW1 or EH3). Click into an area to see the postcode sector breakdown (e.g., SW1A 1).
